Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at infinityvball@yahoo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No, you only have to attend one tryout. However, if you feel like you need to be seen more than once you can come to another tryout if there are openings.

Technically, you cannot receive a written email offer until July 11th. We will be sending these offers starting at midnight of July 10th. SO PLEASE make sure your email is correct when you registered and many of the offers seem to appear in the spam or junk folder. Once you sign your offer with IVC that means you can not play with another club for USAV/AAU sanctioned tournament UNLESS your club releases you and to get released the parent must pay USAV a $100 fee for them to even look at your case to grant the release.

We try to keep our teams at 10 players. Depending on the team and positions that each athlete plays it could possibly call for an 11 person roster. We do not have teams with less than 9.

IVC has strong family values, and we are very involved with all of our teams and their individual players. We offer practices throughout the weekdays that don't always require your athlete to miss church. We also have a great staff and director that will return calls and emails asap. Our teams are ranked high among those in the East Texas area, and we stay very competitive with teams in the bigger cities.

We have two facilities that we operate ONLY volleyball out of which gives our coaches a lot of flexibility to reschedule things if players have events that come up where they must miss club. We also offer a lot of extended season options, which could include traveling to New Orleans, Chicago, Vegas, and more.

Club team prices vary depending on the schedule that they take on. We are expecting our lowest price to be around $1300 (10-12U) and it will go all the way up to our top 17s teams at $2300. The top 17s will be traveling out of state for a qualifier during the school year which will require plane tickets and taking days off of school. You will have to make your first payment of $300 within the first 48 hours of accepting your offer. Then the rest of your balance will be split into 6 payments. If you are not current on your payments as of Dec 1st. your child will not receive their jerseys and will not be able to play in the first tournament.

Example: team dues of $1300 minus 300 for downpayment. Then split your remaining $1000 into 6 payments. YOU MAY PAY EARLIER IF YOU JUST WANT TO GET IT OUT OF THE WAY.

All teams practice around 3-4 hours a week. The younger teams might practice a little less but the 10-12U teams start earlier in the school year than the 13U-18U. The 13U and up play school volleyball until Oct 31. So expect to be on a team in JULY but we wont actually start full on practices until Nov 1. Inbetween those months we have team bonding activities and clothing sizing meeting so that everything can be ready to go in Novemeber.

Club tournaments do not start until Dec 1. We do like to have all our club teams participate in a December tournament. The 10-12U start playing in leagues at IVC so that they get some early touches on the ball. Regional level teams will finish near Spring Break time and National teams will play into April/May. Teams that advance to Nationals will possibly play into beginning of JULY.

COVID-19 Infinity Sports Center / Infinity Volleyball Club Protocol

Infinity Sports Center / Infinity Volleyball Club athletes and families: Our staff and coaches are taking the health and safety of our athletes seriously. Please note that the actions below are a sample of the full efforts we are taking to operate our facilities safely.

· COVID-19 safety training for all staff and coaches has been issued to each in detail.

· Hygiene and social distancing reminder signage in the facility.

· Head count limits to avoid unnecessary bodies in the facility, example: One parent per athlete.

· Assigned staff roles to manage facility head count, customer service and disinfection routines.

· Cleaning of the facility, equipment, and frequently contacted areas (such as door handles).

· Hand washing/Sanitizing, proper hydration and social distancing encouraged wherever possible.

COVID-19 Protocol for Athletes:

✓ Daily Self-Check. Athletes (clients) participating at IVC Facility practices, training or other events, will acknowledge and agree to by action of their entry into the facility the waiver found at the end of this document. This includes a self-check of the signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
✓ Temperature will be taken with infrared thermometer upon arrival. Denial of entrance if temperature is 100.4 or above.
✓ Physical Distancing when not training (water breaks).
✓ Personal Protective Equipment, such as masks, are optional for athletes.
✓ Hand washing/Sanitizing upon entry to the facility is required.

COVID-19 Protocol for Staff and Coaches:

✓Daily Self Check.

✓ Personal Protective Equipment, such as masks, are required for coaches when close contact (checking Temperatures) until further notice.
✓ Temperature will be taken with infrared thermometer upon arrival. Denial of entrance if temperature is 100.4 or above.

We reserve the right to ask anyone in the facility to leave if they jeopardize the health or safety of others.

Preventative Measures

· Most importantly, if you have a respiratory illness or fever, please stay home.

· Avoid contact with sick people (if you’re sick, limit contact with others).

· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.

· Cover your nose and mouth with something disposable (like a tissue) when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.

· Clean frequently touched items (cell phones, airplane seating area -tray table, screens, windows, arm rests, air vents, etc.).

· Clean your hands often by washing them with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at 60%–95% alcohol. Soap and water should be used if hands are visibly dirty.

· It is especially important to clean hands after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose.

· Bring extra hand sanitizer with you to all events.

The below is our plan in preparation for indoor activities.  Governor Abbott addressed Texas this past week and has said that gyms and training facilities may re-open May 18. We will abide by his process to Open Texas. Until social distancing bands are lifted, we are not planning to run normal team practices or participating tournaments.  For now, we will only be running training clinics and lessons as we must stay at or below 25% occupancy of the Infinity Sports Center / Infinity Volleyball Club. If a coach would like to work with his/her team in groups of 4-6, they will need to schedule a time for this. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.  If any practices do take place, we will provide a sign up link for everyone on that team as we will need to keep track of who is in the gym and at what time and how many are participating.  Everyone, Coaches, Athletes, Parents, and Siblings will be REQUIRED to sign the COVID-19 Waiver.

What is the Infinity Sports Center / Infinity Volleyball Club doing to stop the spread?
Below are the Infinity Sports Center / Infinity Volleyball Club Policies for May and June. We will continue to re-evaluate our procedures

§ Operate at a reduced capacity as recommended by local officials.

§ Be in compliance with CDC guidelines to help stop the spread.

§ Facility Staff will check everyone’s temperature immediately upon entering the facility. We have three (2) non-contact infrared body thermometers. If we receive a reading above 100.4 degrees, we will check temperature again using the same thermometer and a 2nd thermometer. If we receive two (2) readings of 100.4 degrees that person will not be allowed to inside our facility or participate in events.

§ Infinity Sports Center / Infinity Volleyball Club Staff will collect all lesson fees at the  by electronic payment. We want to reduce the items handed off to our coaches.

§ Coaches are required to wash hands between each session (lesson, clinic, practice, etc).

§ Coaches have been provided Face Mask and is optional based on each coach.

§ Face covering are not required for athletes as we do not want to restrict their ability to breath and receive oxygen during their workouts.

§ We will disinfect volleyballs between events (lessons, clinics, practices, etc)

§ We will schedule a buffer time between sessions to allow time to disinfect the volleyballs

§ Facility staff is there to remind and ensure facility policies are being followed. Facility staff is advised to report all infractions s to us. We will not allow athletes to sign up for events or participate in practices if they or their family members do not comply with our policies.

§ We are continuing to look at other processes, technology and procurement of items to help with the disinfection of surfaces and areas in our facility. (UV Light System)
