Youth League Session 3 (Jan-Feb)

Come Play in the Infinity Volleyball Youth League!!

IVC has league play for youth teams starting 3rd grade through 6th grade. Our GOAL is to provide a great atmosphere for learning and having fun. The league is a chance for players to improve their volleyball skills and compete at a level appropriate to their age and skill.

Purpose - Our local leagues are meant to be short (5-6 week) instructional venues that include a practice once per week and games weekly. It is a place to play, improve skills, and introduce game play to prepare for school or intro into the club world. A league is not intended to take the place of a “Club” experience, nor is it supposed to be “win at all costs”. IVC League Play is meant to be a train and give game play experience for those athletes that have not mastered the basics of volleyball.

To register for a league, please continue to fill out all things associated with this link/registration page. We encourage players to sign up with their friends to play together! Teams will be formed after the registration deadline. Each player will be notified by an IVC Coach when the team is formed, and a schedule is set (please use an active email account when you register).

Our IVC league practices/games will be mostly held on Saturdays. Each team will get a session that lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes. They will use approximately the first 40 minutes to practice and then the next 45 min to play in game like scenarios. There will be two teams in the gym at the same time.

Our coaching staff for the league/recreational teams are younger adults that are dedicated to coaching your athlete for the 5-6 week period. Some of your registration fee goes to the coaching dues, some goes to your t shirt, and the rest of it goes towards the facility and its up-keep/supplies.

We do take volunteer parent coaches if you feel like you're qualified to lead a group of 3rd-8th graders. Please make sure you click volunteer coach info on the next page if you want to help us. (volunteer coaches will get their kids fees comped).

The coaches will try to get 3 sets in with the girls (2 sets to 25, and 1 to 15) but if there's even 5-10 min left of your time slot after the sets get finished the coaches will stay with your athlete and work on serving consistency.

***With the 3/4th graders!!! They are not at a level yet that an actual game scenario is necessarily beneficial to them. The practice time will be planned out so that they get many touches on the ball as possible so that when they get in 5th grade they are ready for a full on volleyball match!!! 

Volleyball is not necessarily measured by time. 3 sets could take 30 min or 45 min...please be understanding if the sets don't last as long as you think they should. ON THE FLIP SIDE OF THAT. We have a tight schedule so the time slot must be over on its scheduled time due to the next teams coming in.
